On behalf of our Judges and our Contest Staff, I want to thank all of the writers who have entered the 2012 PAGE International Screenwriting Awards competition!! A record-breaking 5,176 scripts were entered in this year’s contest, submitted by writers from all across the United States and 68 foreign countries. 2012 marks our 9th anniversary, and this year we will once again be presenting over $50,000 in Cash & Prizes to some of the most talented new screenwriters from across the country and around the world. In just a few short months, our Judges will award Gold, Silver & Bronze Prizes to writers in ten different genre categories – plus our huge $25,000 Grand Prize!

Most importantly, each year dozens of top producers, agents, and development execs ask to read our winning screenplays. As a result, many of our winning writers land script assignments, secure representation, and sign option agreements on their work, and several now have movies in various stages of production and release. We will be announcing this year’s Quarter-Finalists on July 15th. Semi-Finalists will be announced on August 15th. Finalists will be announced on September 15th. And our 2012 Winners will be announced on October 15th.
